In addition to the general assumptions, ANOVA-based multiple comparison procedures (e.g., Fisher LSD, Duncan, Tukey HSD, Newman-Keuls, Dunnett), assume that data is from a normal distribution with equal variance in each group, or, the sample size is large.
Note that this assumption is not made by Bonferroni and False Discovery Rate corrections. (See Multiple Comparisons (Post Hoc Testing) for more about these methods.)
