Assumptions of t-Tests of Proportions

In addition to the general assumptions, t-Tests of proportions assume that:

• The proportions being tested are greater than 0 and less than 1.
• The variance is estimated (this assumption is rarely correct as the variance is a function of the mean typically, but is trivial in its implications).
